Healthy Pita Chips Recipe
Want healthy pita chips? Don’t go to the grocery store and try to determine which bag has the healthiest chips. You will likely still end up with an unhealthy fried chip. Instead, you can make your own chips and home. It is not a difficult process. This recipe cuts way down on the amount of oil used, contains no artificial ingredients and you can spice them up any way you like.

Try this recipe for healthy pita chips:

Healthy Pita Chips Recipe

 

Ingredients (makes 6 servings)

• 3 whole wheat pita rounds (6-to-7-inch diameter)
• 1-2 Tbsp olive oil OR baking spray
• 3 Tbsp, or to taste, seasonings (such as onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, chili powder, cumin)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400°F.

1. Cut pita rounds into 8 wedges each; separate double layered wedges into two single layers at the seam.

2. On large baking sheet, spread wedges in a single layer.

3. Spray (or brush lightly with olive oil) and sprinkle with desired seasonings.
4. Bake 5-10 minutes, until lightly golden.

5. You can also make this recipe in an air fryer. Set the temperature to 350 degrees and bake for about 8-10 minutes.
