📝Easy Blackberry Cobbler Recipe

Ingredients (Makes 10 Servings)

Filling:

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 4 1/2 teaspoons quick-cooking tapioca

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice

  • 5 cups fresh or frozen blackberries, thawed

  • 2 tablespoons orange juice

Dough:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon sugar, divided

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/3 cup vanilla yogurt

  • 1/3 cup fat-free milk

  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine sugar, tapioca, and allspice.

  2. Add blackberries and orange juice; toss gently to coat. Let stand for 15 minutes.

  3. Spoon the berry mixture into a greased 2-quart baking dish.

  4. In another large bowl, combine flour, 1/3 cup sugar, baking soda, and salt.

  5. Combine yogurt, milk, and melted butter; stir into dry ingredients until smooth. Spread this batter over the berry mixture evenly.

  6. Bake for 20 minutes, then sprinkle with the remaining 1 tablespoon sugar. Bake an additional 25–30 minutes until the cobbler is golden brown and bubbly.

  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
