Health & Wellness Trendsetters are showing us the path to getting a little healthier every day. For some, it’s the premature death of a loved one that prompts them to start giving health & wellness the attention it deserves. For others, it’s the realization that they don’t want to grow older taking handfuls of medications with side effects. It’s just not their vision of aging well.

Interview with Suzanne Taylor
This health & wellness trendsetter, Suzanne Taylor, shares her personal journey to health & wellness here. I’m sure you’ll relate to something in her story and hopefully be inspired to get healthier.
1. What is your background?
I’m a 50 year old mom of an 8 year old little man. I got a late start on the whole marriage and motherhood thing. I am from Southern New Jersey, Marlton. I’ve lived here my whole life, except for a season or two in California.
2. What inspired/motivated you to get into the health and wellness field?
I am uber passionate about living healthier and helping others do the same because my mother passed at 67, when I was only 35 years old, and not yet married or a mother. I have a deep desire to keep women off medications and enjoying a healthy lifestyle from motherhood to menopause and beyond.
I fully embrace the sentiment that healthy living is not a one-size-fits-all proposition. My goal is to help my clients learn what foods and lifestyle habits work best for them, knowing that they are all different individuals. I strongly encourage everyone to eat real, plant-based and whole foods to nourish the body. I believe that Mother Nature knows what our bodies crave.
I look at health from a whole body, holistic approach. Having a shoulder to cry on and friends to have “aha moments” with are integral parts that connect our bodies with our overall health.
I’m here for my clients every step of the way, just as I want someone to be there for me.
Whether you are seeking help for a specific condition or other health concern or your goal is to maintain healthy life long habits to prevent potential illness in your later years, I’m here to support you in your journey.
3. What is most rewarding to you about your profession?
What is most rewarding is the “aha moments” that clients have, when they realize they have all they need inside of them. All they needed was someone to help them find it.
4. As a trendsetter, what do you predict will be the next big trend in your industry?
I think the next big trend will be abandoning diets and diet books and adopting a back-to-basics approach to eating and living.
5. What tips/advice would you give for someone trying to achieve optimal health?
My humorous advice is “Don’t eat crap. You know what it is. Just don’t eat it.” Instead, eat lean and green 85% of the time and enjoy life. I love food, wine, and chocolate cake and life without those wouldn’t be as passionate and healthy for me.
My second piece of advice is to learn the root cause of your health issues. Get the appropriate testing done and ask questions. And if you still don’t have an answer call me!
6. What is your favorite healthy meal?
My favorite meal, hands down, is a stir fry of all the leftover veggies from the past couple days with an egg or two, and avocado on top.
